安装

freebsd安装fail2ban时使用以下命令:
# pkg install py39-fail2ban
一共会安装13个软件包:
gettext-runtime、indexinfo、libedit、libffi、libinotify、mpdecimal、py39-fail2ban
py39-pyinotify、py39-setuptools、py39-sqlite3、python39、readline、sqlite3
安装过程需要142MiB以上空间(pkg下载22M)。

安装完成后提示:
Please do not edit the fail2ban.conf, jail.conf, or any other
files in the distributen as they will be overwritten upon each
upgrade of the port. Instead, create new files named *.local e.g.
fail2ban.local or jail.local.
大意是不要修改fail2ban的配置文件,因为它们会在更新时被重置。应该创建*.local代替,例如fail2ban.local或jail.local。

fail2ban-server没有子命令,fail2ban-client有很多子命令,最有意思的子命令是ping
fail2ban-client ping用于测试服务器是否存活:
